Unifying Water, Energy, Food & Environment

Water, energy, food and the environment are no longer separate planning domains. This programme introduces a unified WEFE-nexus approach to water production and governance, covering policy instruments, infrastructure choices and cross-sector trade-offs.

Participants will work through decision frameworks used by governments and utilities to balance security of supply, energy intensity, agricultural demand and ecological limits. The course draws on Saudi Arabia’s national water transformation and comparable international programmes.

Intended for policymakers, utility executives, researchers and investors at IDWS 2026.
